Meet your 'Older Self'!

In a recent newsletter received by Momentum, Tony (and subsequently the rest of the office) were fascinated to learn that on average, individuals who had used some form of age-enhancing app to view their 'future selves' contribute 6-7% more of their earnings to their retirement funds, than individuals who are less likely to think about, or who estrange themselves from the idea of their future, retired self.

The issue here is that many of us frame the idea of our older selves as a completely different person, disconnected from our current reality.

Logically, this is far from the truth of the matter - every single decision we make now will have an impact on our future selves. Perhaps this is why upon facing such a realistic perception of their older self, these individuals felt the need to contribute more to provide for this person - who they now see as themselves.
